Eco Village - An Alternative Living
“It is easy to create than to repair”
Yes!! You see, it is easy to put your thoughts running through your mind and make it a story, than to rewrite/correct some story, which you were never part of it.Just the way, the professor in ‘Money heist’, doesn’t waste his time in solving a problem, rather he THINKS where it all started, and then he creates a counter-attack and rest is the story.
Now come with me, let’s step into the time machine and go back to those good olden days!!!!
Can you see those lambs playing with the kids? There the cows, calves and the pups, all of them living along with the people, in their houses, and see those giant trees, the swings are tied to them, and how the kids are singing and swinging happily!!!
We lived along with Nature, as a community.
We spent our mornings, breathing in fresh air and evenings in spacious verandas, spending time and helping each other.
Then, what happened?
Can you feel the chaos? Hmmm…Please step down the time machine, we have come back to our routine lives - the era of “Industrial Revolution”
The story of industrial civilization tells us that unlimited economic growth, advanced technology, and materialistic influence, all these are the pathways to prosperity.
Well! Let’s appreciate it to some extent, but isn’t it clear that it’s deteriorating the planet and the people?
We know this in our heads and feel it in our hearts. Yet, we are exploiting nature by our unsustainable practices that could bring existential crisis, which would put human civilization to an end.
We are the generations in between the stories, desperately clinging to yesterdays, but uncertain of tomorrow's. But there is a new story already within us . Perhaps we just need to create it with the values from the past and technology from our present.
Come on!!
Lets connect with Mother Nature
Lets re-establish the sense of community
Lets write a NEW STORY
An Eco-Village
The Eco-village describes its citizens as ”a bunch of very different people with different backgrounds and reasons to live here, and yet we are bound together by shared values like ecology and sustainability, and a wish to live within a social community based on respect and tolerance.
”We will share ecological, social-economic, and cultural-spiritual values. Concretely, we create alternatives to ecologically destructive electrical, water, transportation, and waste-treatment systems, as well as the larger social systems that mirror and support them. Many see the breakdown of traditional forms of community, wasteful consumerist lifestyles, the destruction of natural habitat, urban sprawl, factory farming, and over-reliance on fossil fuels as trends that must be changed to avert ecological disaster and create richer and more fulfilling ways of life.
In short, we are small-scale communities with minimal ecological impact or regenerative impacts as an alternative.
